Tristan Corbiere: Oysters, nightingales and cooking pots.
This volume of poetry was something of a labour of love for the translator and editors - they corresponded through handwritten letters sent by post over many years. The finished ebook features readings in French and English and is a painstaking tribute to a little-known 19th century French poet.
The design brief was very specific, asking not just for an image of a boat, but of a very particular type of oyster boat! Researching images in the Public Domain is one of my specialities so this was a fun project to work on and the resulting design is a calm and simple layout.
